Let It Snow

In anticipation of the snow we're to receive tonight (albeit, not very much), and also because I've been recently sorting through picture files and came across these, I decided to post here. :) Enjoy some fun in the snow ...........

Portraits: Alex

My cousin Alex. I remember the very first time I saw her. She was just a few days old - so cute & tiny! We happened to be in Arkansas visiting family when she was born and were able to see her tiny face, hold her little hands. Wow, how much time has passed - and now she's all grown up. I took these pictures of her back when I did Cameron's shoot. She's just gorgeous.

Love this pensive look - one of my favorites

At the end of our shoot, I took these of Cameron & Alex - aren't they sweet together?

Senior Portraits: Cameron

I recently had the opportunity to take my young cousin's Senior pictures. Since we live in separate states, and there's a fairly big age difference, I've not been able to get to know Cameron as well as I might like. So, I was glad for the chance to chat with him during our session and learn a bit about him & his plans. He plays basketball & baseball (and perhaps more?) but particularly likes baseball.  He is hoping to play in college as a pitcher.
I've always thought of Cameron as a pretty quiet guy - and I think that shines through in these pictures. However, I somehow got the impression during our shoot that he isn't that way all the time. :) I was so pleased with the way these pictures turned out - I couldn't have asked for a better subject. Many blessings Cameron as you pursue your hopes & dreams. Here's hoping you make the big leagues. ;)

Portraits: Pethoud Family

The Pethouds are good friends of our family. We met them maybe 6-7 years ago when Gwen happened across my siblings playing quartet at the mall & asked for a violin teacher for her daughter Lin. My sister gave her lessons for the next little while. I don't remember all the details, but we either met Doug's sister through them, or just found out that we knew them already - something! At any rate, gatherings over the years at his sister's house (we would see them there) and then my brother (who owns his own carpentry business) remodeled their kitchen. And then Gwen offered to help us with our concert one year - and has been doing it ever since. Then Doug introduced us to Mark who helped us record a CD.  And even though we don't see them all that often, we have a great time when we do.
Gwen called me and scheduled these pictures right after we returned from Ohio last fall. We had a fairly warm day - and even though I was hoping for sun, (which didn't happen) we did manage to just miss a big cold front/messy week.  I loved working with all of them - little John is so funny, Lin so pretty. This family is priceless together. Thanks friends, for making my job look easy!
