50 Years Together

I posted yesterday about the Family Portrait shoot I did a few weeks ago.  On that day, Mr. & Mrs. Jenkins celebrated 50 years of marriage. Wow! That's a long time to live together and love each other.  They married in her parent's home, then settled here in town and raised a family. It's readily apparent that they were meant to be - their love still shines bright. Congratulations!

Family Portraits

A couple of weeks ago I met again with an amazing family to take their family portraits. I met Kayla & her mom, Gina at last year's bridal fair. Later that year I photographed Kayla & Nick's wedding.  We had a great time working together.  Gina contacted me again this year to do some family pictures for her side of the family. Her parents were celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary (posting their pictures tomorrow) and they wanted to do this as a gift for them. It was hot, so we worked as quickly as possible to get some great pictures & were very happy with the result.  Thanks guys - always great to work with you!

A few of Laura's pics....

My sister Laura is one of my second photogaphers at weddings & events. On vacation, she took some pictures that I just love.  Thought I'd share a few of them here:

Vacation

I didn't take loads of pictures on vacation, but I took plenty nevertheless.  I've never been one to take an over-abundance of pics, perhaps it stems from shooting a film camera for so many years and the fact that you had to pay to print pictures that might look - let's say, less than the best - and I really didn't see the point.  Shoot what you like, make it count, and love the results!

Sisters

My cousin Lauren was at the wedding last weekend and she agreed to take some pictures for us!  She is a photographer in Texas & does a great job.  Thanks Lauren!

I took this one of my grandpa & his sons..... my Dad & Uncle.  Love this one.
